My Story
I serve individuals and professionals at all levels - whether you’re leading a team or contributing to one - to create meaningful, fulfilling life and work experiences.
Are you or your team in constant firefighting mode, buried in meetings, emails, and deliverables? Or, on the other hand, do you feel underutilized, disengaged, or unsure how to achieve growth?
I’ve been there. That’s why I’m fiercely committed to helping leaders foster cultures of empowerment, enhance employee engagement, boost productivity, and create meaningful impact—all while supporting individual growth.
When I started managing teams, we met our deliverables - but often at the cost of burnout and disconnection. I yearned to define team success not just by what we produced but how we felt - empowered, engaged and aligned with a clear purpose. Then I discovered a program called Empowering People in the Workplace (EPW) and everything changed.
As a certified EPW facilitator, I applied its principles to my team, then to the teams of my peer executives. I saw firsthand how trust, clarity of purpose, and strategic alignment could transform a team into a sustainable, solution-driven powerhouse—while creating a workplace where people genuinely want to come to work every day. It deepened my belief that business excellence thrives when the right people, in the right roles, see challenges as opportunities. As employee engagement and productivity soared, so did our recognition. My manager entrusted me with uniting her senior executive team and leading the delivery of high-profile, cross-departmental projects. I guided executives and their teams in areas like culture-building, professional growth, and job satisfaction.
Through this experience, I realized coaching had been a consistent thread throughout my career - and maybe even earlier in my personal life - shaping my leadership style and enabling me to foster collaboration and success.
Driven by my growing passion to be in service to others through coaching - and encouraged by an executive coach - I decided to formalize my skills and enroll in an organizational coaching program at the University of British Columbia.
My coaching engagements grew to support the nonprofit space, where I had the privilege of coaching for such organizations as:
Staff within the University of California system on career development
Youth leaders (ages 12–16) in a local 4-H chapter to build their leadership skills
Women of East Indian descent rebuilding their careers after divorce
Job seekers through a United Way chapter to improve interview readiness
Balancing school, coaching and full-time work was challenging but fulfilling. Then, one life-altering moment brought everything into sharper focus. One sunny Sunday, after withdrawing a small amount of cash at an ATM in a crowded business district, three people attempted to rob me. I complied, but when the strap of my ‘anti-theft’ purse got caught around my neck, one person drew a gun, while another cut the strap from my body with a knife. In those terrifying moments, I thought, If I make it through this, I’m making some changes.
I did make it through, and within months, I left my secure corporate job to pursue coaching full-time. That experience reinforced my commitment to live authentically and focus on what truly matters. Coaching isn’t just my career—it’s the culmination of my life’s work to bring deep empathy, clarity, and determination to help others grow, achieve, and transform their lives and careers.
